Humans produce, consume and waste more than our planet can sustain. We buy cheap stuff produced unfairly and not ecologically. And because it is cheap, we tend to waste it.
Don’t buy more than you can consume. Don’t buy cheap stuff you’d waste. Refuse, reduce, reuse, compost and recycle. Be a responsible and conscious consumer.
Think globally, act locally
Consumerism and waste is the core problem and there are several areas of your lifestyle you can fight it and improve upon, including food/agriculture, electronics, fashion, mobility, energy. as well as entertainment, cosmetics, and household.
Be a zero waste hero, bring your own package or container, reuse packages, bags, shop with cloth bags or backpacks. Swap, borrow or do it yourself.
Use hybrid or electric vehicles and/or public transport (trains, buses, etc.) or other alternatives (e.g. bicycles). Stop using fossil fuels vehicles. Reduce traveling by plane or ship. Buy local goods, which are not transported by ship or plane.
